The mission of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Post 11548 is to support programs to increase awareness of the sacrifices of America's veterans, to promote citizenship education, volunteerism, and positive youth programs and to facilitate aid for veterans, active duty personnel, and their families in need of medical, rehabilitative, educational, financial and employment services.

The VFW is committed to improving the lives of veterans and service personnel, their families and their communities.

Members of the VFW Post visit the Long Beach Veteren's Hospital Spinal Injury ward to make sure that our wounded servicemen and women returning from Iraq and Afghanistan fully understand that their sacrifices are appreciated.  The Post holds Buddy Poppy "Drives" to generate donations to support the good works of the VFW. The Buddy Poppy is given to donors as a token of appreciation.

VFW Members visit local cemeteries to help honor our fallen heroes!
